Dorota Gawęda (PL) and Eglė Kulbokaitė (LT) are an artist duo based in Basel (CH). Both are 2012 graduates of the Royal College of Art in London. Their work spans video, sculpture, painting, installation and performance. They have exhibited internationally, notably: Biennale Gherdëina, Ortisei;Basement Roma, Rome; MO.CO, Montpellier; Rudolfinum, Prague; CAC, Vilnius; MACA, Beijing; The Renaissance Society, Chicago; Thaddaeus Ropac, Paris; Centre Pompidou, Paris; Kunsthalle Mainz; Kunstverein Hamburg; HeK, Basel; SI, New York; Julia Stoschek Collection, Düsseldorf; Kunsthalle Fribourg; Lafayette Anticipations, Paris; Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Kunsthalle Basel; ICA, London; MSN, Warsaw among others. Gawęda and Kulbokaitė are the recipients of the Collide Residency Award and Allegro Artist Prize 2022. They are the founders of YOUNG GIRL READING GROUP (2013–2021 ).The duo are 2026/27 fellows at Instituto Svizzero in Rome. In 2026 they co-founded or Associations together with alfatih (CH), Shuyi Cao (CN/USA, Lito Kattou (CY/GR), Gaby Sahhar (FR/UK) and Jenna Sutela (FI/DE).
